A graduate of New York University's film and television program, Darren Mark has spent his career working on both sides of the camera. Following college, and a production assistant position on the feature film, Great Expectations (20th Century Fox), Mark worked in producing capacities for a series of nationally-syndicated broadcasts at Boston-based Hearst-Argyle Television Productions. From there, he accepted a position as associate producer for Home and Garden Television, where he worked on both coasts in studio and location productions. For the majority of his career, Mark was a television reporter for NBC and ABC affiliates, where he gained extensive experience writing, producing and storytelling for taped and live broadcasts. Mark is also a writer and columnist for the Kansas City Star-owned Spaces Magazine.
